Reaction Fireworks have just returned from another successful buying trip to Liuyang, China, the firework capital of the world, in search of high quality fireworks and new effects and were not disappointed at what they found.

The 10 day visit included daily factory tours and evening demonstrations of thousands of fireworks by some of the leading firework factories including, Meitai, Guandu, Dancing, Sunsong and Jiyin Fireworks. Some fantastic new products were seen including some amazing  larger shells from Meitai and Tanghua firework factories with effects like ‘straw hat’, ‘whirlpool’,  ‘thousand break’ and ‘Lantern’.

Many high quality barrages and single shots were also seen throughout the demonstrations including wide fanned cakes with effects like ‘green leaves with blue pearl mine and red green tail’ and ‘titanium thunder with crackling mine’.  The team were also excited by a new ‘blood red’ colour which technicians have only recently been able to develop, especially when fired with electric white stars.

The team also visited the Xiang Xing stage pyrotechnic factory and witnessed some very high quality and unusual effects.  Favourites included moving devices such as the ‘peacock tail’ and ‘lotus flower’ as well as some very high quality wheels.  Also witnessed were the most stable crown wheels seen in recent years, described by the factory as UFO’s and containing colour stars or smoke and reports for daylight shows.

Orders are now being placed and many of the new and exciting products will be seen in the skies above the UK in our forthcoming Jubilee and November firework displays.

Reaction Fireworks were delighted to represent the UK in one of the world’s largest international firework competitions.

The Changsha International Firework Competition, held in the capital city of the Hunan Province in China, sees 52 teams from around the globe compete for the coveted champions title. The UK team was made up of a contingency of firework companies from England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales who worked for 3 days alongside a team of 30 Chinese technicians to produce a truly spectacular firework display.

The display was fired from 13 firing positions over a stretch of 700 metres and contained over 20,000 individual effects and over 3000 shells.

The musical programme was chosen to represent England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales and included tracks such as Greatest Day, James Bond, Braveheart, The Riverdance and Pomp & Circumstance.

Despite the rain and fog the judges enjoyed the show and awarded the team 95.6%, however due to the length of the competition and number of competitors it will be months before the official results are released.

Reaction Fireworks has just returned from China after competing in a major international firework competition.

The competition, which featured displays by leading firework companies from France, Austria, China and the UK was held in the South China tourist resort of Sanya on the island province of Hainan.

Reaction Fireworks were part of a contingent of firework companies who combined their skills to represent the UK.

Managing Director Adam Hillary said, “Being invited to compete on a world stage, particularly in the birth place of fireworks, was a great privilege.  Sanya is a fascinating place; it is a major destination for wealthy Chinese and has some of the top hotels in the world.

The displays all synchronised to music were fired from six ships anchored in the massive Dadonghai Bay which forms part of the South China Sea.  The Reaction Fireworks display was fired on the Chinese New Year.

We were placed 2^nd which was a great achievement considering the high standard of the competition.

The competition was held over two nights and tickets to watch the displays cost between £168 and £488 each.”

Reaction Fireworks are returning to China at the end of February to compete in another competition in Changsha City 700miles from Sanya.

Reaction Fireworks provided the spectacular Firework Display for the homecoming of X Factor winners Little Mix.

The high octane firework display was seen by millions on the X Factor TV show.

Reaction Fireworks were thrilled to provide the fireworks for Samsung at a fairy tale castle in the Highlands of Scotland.

The private castle is considered one of the worlds most exclusive retreats and Reaction Fireworks are proud to have been the preferred supplier for over 18 years.

With live music, carols and a breath taking firework display, provided by Reaction Fireworks, Sunderland’s annual Christmas lights switch-on was one not to miss.

Steve Cram MBE along with Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls Alyson Dixon and Fiona Tozer flicked the switch and started the display.

This year’s Guy Fawkes was again a huge success for Reaction Fireworks thanks to the months of planning and hard work of the Reaction Team.

The Reaction Team, of over 40 pyrotechnists, fired shows from as far north as Wick in the Highlands to Kent in the South.

The feedback we have received from our clients has been tremendous with many of them for next year.

Reaction Fireworks were delighted to provide a stunning firework display for Clinique at the pretigous Gleneagles Hotel.

The firework display ended with two, clinique green, heart shaped set peices fired either side of the fountain at the front of the hotel.

X Factor champs Joe McElderry and Stacey Solomon headlined this year’s Spooky Firework Spectacular at Newcastle Racecourse.

The monster fireworks extravaganza was enjoyed by thousands of spookily dressed spectators.

The Lakeside Shopping centre celebrated its 21st birthday with a stunning firework display, produced by the award winning Reaction Fireworks team.

The grand firework display was fired from a pontoon on the lake and was choreographed to a musical programme with a celebration twist…
